Co-operative Membership and Globalizations:
New Directions in Research and Business Strategies

A dialogue for researchers, practitioners, and policy makers

This preliminary research conference was hosted by Centre for the Study of Co-operatives, University of Saskatchewan, October 24-25, 2002. The purpose of the conference was to review current issues and best practices in co-operative community and member relations, and marketing, and to map out new research directions for studying connections between co-operatives and communities. Contributors included both representatives from partner organizations, and researchers involved in the project. An edited volume based on discussions from this conference is currently being compiled and prepared for publication.
